In an attempt for an outside chance at independent mobility, doctors amputated both her legs below the knee on her first birthday. The decision paid off. By age two, she had learned to walk on prosthetic legs, and spent her childhood doing the usual athletic activities of her peers: swimming, biking, softball, soccer, and skiing, always alongside “able-bodies” kids.”

Vote Coming Today to End the Lockout

“ESPN’s John Clayton reports that NFL owners have been told by league to be prepared to vote on new CBA between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. EST tonight. Yes, like, today. Sit back and drink that in for a moment. Since March we’ve been anticipating the beginning of and then end to the ongoing lockout. It could all end today.”

When will the madness end!? Hopefully today.
